Terms & Conditions

Upon written, electronic or verbal agreement, 1/2 the initial estimate is due as a deposit before site construction will commence. Payment may be made in cash, by personal or business check, by direct bank transfer or by credit card.

Site construction will commence once all agreed upon materials are provided to Medscape by the client. The client will be advised of progress and estimated completion time. Final invoice shall not reflect a discrepancy of more than 15% without prior consultation with the client or without the client's consent for work exceeding that itemized in Medscape's initial estimate.

Upon completion of the site, the client shall make a thorough preview of the site via a confidential and temporary web address known only to Medscape and to the client. At that time changes prescribed by the client shall be made to the site by Medscape. Upon client's approval of design and content, the balance of payment is due prior to site publication on the Internet. Once balance is received by Medscape, the site shall be immediately published on the Internet and Medscape shall submit the site to all appropriate search engines and directories as prescribed by agreement.

Once the site is published on the Internet, maintenance of the site shall be conducted exclusively by Medscape. Changes and substitutions requested by the client shall be billed at a rate of $35/hour or appropriate currency conversion. Maintenance not requested by the client (such as broken links or server outages) shall be performed and rectified by Medscape at no charge to the client.

Renewal of hosting and domain fees shall be due and payable one year after the site is published on the Internet at the rate agreed upon by Medscape and the client. The client shall receive a notice by e-mail or hard copy of renewal fees approximately one month prior to due date.

Medscape shall provide site statistics to the client at quarterly intervals or as needed.

Medscape agrees not to share the client's person information with any other source. Further, Medscape agrees not to use the client's name, logo, insignia, or graphic materials in the construction of any other site without the express permission of the client.

Deposit and final payments are not refundable.
